The Golf Foundation

Set up in the year 2000, TGF supports talented young golfers from underprivileged backgrounds. A Registered Charitable Society, TGF strongly believes that India can produce National and International golf champions through supporting golf talent from weaker sections of society. A belief that has been proven to be right time and again.

Activities

Providing young golfers with:

  • Golf equipment- golf sets, balls, gloves, shoes, apparels etc
  • Specialised coaching from expert National Golf Academy of India (NGAI) certified coaches
  • Financial assistance to play various golf tournaments, both in India and abroad
  • Monthly stipends and job placements. A number of our beneficiaries have been placed in public sector companies & armed forces, thanks to their golf skills
  • Development of interpersonal, communication, presentation and other soft skills through an app and also talks by experts
  • Skill development in areas related to golf
  • The means to maintain a healthy physical-mental balance, including Yoga, physical education and adequate nutrition
  • Opportunities to showcase their skills though participation in annual Golf Foundation Fund Raiser tournaments and other Pro Am tournaments
  • Focus on empowerment of girl beneficiaries
  • Help in further studies abroad by getting golf scholarships
  • Supporting specially abled speech and hearing impaired golfers

Affiliations

  • TGF is affiliated to the Indian Golf Union (IGU) and supported by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI)
  • Amit Luthra has been nominated by Gary Player (one of the world’s best golfers) as Honorary Ambassador of the ‘Gary and Vivienne Player Foundation’
